FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions, is a list of questions and answers about our business and website, from individuals or companies.  If we get a particular question asked more then a couple times a month we may add it here.

1.  Do you Guarantee you will place my web site in the first position, first page for my keyword?

• No, we can not guarantee this and anyone that does except for Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc., is misleading you.  It depends on how well your competitors have optimized their web pages as well.  Sometimes the best we can do is tie them.  What we will guarantee is your web site will be higher rated and more competitive then it was before we began and in many cases in the top 3 pages and in many cases the 1st page and in some cases the 1st position, 1st page.

2.  How long does it take?

• Great question!  It takes anywhere from 2 months to 1 year to optimize a web page.  Let me use Google as an example.  Google only does a crawl through all their indexed web sites every 45 days or so.  This is the only time we can see what our efforts have produced and to then plan our next effort.  We can usually optimize the structure of your web page within a month our two to tie or beat your competitors, but often the one criteria that takes the longest and most labor intensive if getting good popular, site related links.  This takes time.

3.  How will I know how things are progressing?

• We will provide you a report on our progress every 45 days or so, after we see Google has made a crawl update. 

4.  You keep emphasizing Google Why?  What about all the other search engines.

• Google is the biggest search engine company controlling over 50% of the world-wide search engine traffic.  Yahoo is second with about 24%, following by Bing with 17%. These percentages are roughly correct.  So Google is who we target first because that will bring you the greatest return on your investment.

5.  Can I give you more then one keyword or phrase?

• Yes, but it's like a new customer with new costs.  We only optimize a web page for one keyword or phrase.  If you want another we would have to create a doorway page optimized to your new keyword or phrase.  Trying to optimize a page for more then one keyword or phrase reduces the effectiveness of both.

6.  What if I want my web site optimized for the key words "classic car parts", like your other customer on your testimonial page.  Would that be a conflict of interest for you?

• Yes, which is why we would not accept that job.  As long as a customer is an active customer with us, we will not accept a job to position another customer for exactly the same keyword or phrase.  So right now A1 Classic Car Parts Finder, Inc., www.classiccarpartsfinder.com is a maintenance customer so we will not accept another customer for the keyword/phrase "classic car parts".

7.  Some web positioning companies promise to make my web site number 1 or on the 1st page why don't you promise that as well?

• Simply because I will not mislead you.  I could probably place any web site on the 1st position, 1st page using a non-competitive keyword.  Which means a keyword no one would ever search for.  Web positioning is all about how competitive the web sites are that are ahead of you for the keyword/phrase you want or is the most competitive.  Usually there is a lot of room to move someone up through the rankings, but as we approach the top 3 pages it gets tougher and our efforts will depend on how effective each competitor is in positioning their web site as well.  It makes for an ever changing competitive environment.  So I do not promise something that no one but Google, Yahoo, Bing and the other search engines could do for sure.  I do promise your site will improve in the rankings, or your money back, and as a target we will work tirelessly to get your web site in the 1st position, 1st page.

8.  Why do some of the web sites with better positions then mine and yet they don't have as many links as I do, but they still beat me?

• Links or Link Popularity is an important factor, but only one important factor out of over 200 we have identified with Google for instance.  We placed a web site in the 1st position, 1st page using the best keyword/phrase and they only had 40 recognized Google links.  All the web sites behind them had far more Google recognized links, but the reason our page was in the top position is because all 200 factors were addressed.  Many of those factors were the structure of the html web page.  I know for certain that no other page came close to matching ours with structure.  Also the quality of the links is very important.  The higher popularity ranking of the sites you link with is important, and conversely avoid Google penalized sites who possess a Google ranking of zero because they will bring down your ranking or even penalize you.
